Anastasia Vatou and Aikaterini Krousorati, Adjunct Lecturers from the Department of Early Childhood
Education and Care, participated in the International Week organized by Artevelde University of Applied
Sciences, Bachelor of Preschool Education, in Ghent, Belgium, from February 21st to 24th, 2023. This
mobility was conducted as part of their involvement in a staff mobility activity offered by the
International Hellenic University, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme (KA103) for the
academic year 2022-2023. During the International Week, Dr. Vatou and Dr. Krousorati delivered a
lecture titled “Learning through Play and Socio-Emotional Interactions” to undergraduate students of
the department. Additionally, they had the opportunity to engage with colleagues from various
European universities, fostering collaborations that promote the international outreach of our
department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24-28\/04\/2023 (Absalon University, Denmark)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The assistant professor and Erasmus departmental coordinator of the Early Childhood
Education & Care Department, Eleni Tympa, participated in a training week organized by the
University College Absalon in Copenhagen, Denmark. The training took place between 24-
28\/04\/2023 within the Children at Risk Program of Absalon University. The mobility was
made with the aim of participating in a staff mobility activity of the International University
of Greece for training within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program (KA103) (2022-2023).
During the mobility Dr. Tympa had the opportunity to exchange good educational practices,
to get in touch with professors and researchers of the host university and other host
European universities and to expand the network of collaborations with other universities,
thus promoting the extroversion of her university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

26-30\/09\/2023 (Universidad Del Atladico Medio, Canary Islands, Spain)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The assistant professor and Erasmus departmental coordinator of the Early Childhood
Education & Care Department, Eleni Tympa, participated in the International Week
organized by the Universidad Del Atladico Medio, in the Canary Islands in Spain. The
International week took place during 26-30\/09\/2023. The mobility was conducted as part of
participation in a staff mobility activity offered by the International Hellenic University for
teaching and training in the context of the Erasmus+ Program (KA103) (2022-2023). During
the International Week Dr. Tympa presented the University and the Department as well as
the courses available for incoming Erasmus students to all the visiting professors from other
universities. The next day she gave a lecture to invited professors and students,
undergraduate and postgraduate, on &quot;The development of children&#39;s vocabulary through the
Let&#39;s play &amp; Talk intervention&quot;.
At the same time, she had the opportunity to get in touch with professors from other
departments abroad as well as with Erasmus coordinators of other European universities
and to conclude agreements, thus contributing to the promotion of the department&#39;s
extroversion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

26\/05 – 30\/05\/2025 – Metropolia University Helsinki <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A unique experience was gained by 10 students from our department during a short mobility for studies through the Erasmus program to the Metropolia University of Helsinki in Finland. A life experience, both for the students and the teachers, useful for their academic and professional status. We support the Erasmus program and highly recommend it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
