Katerina Krousorati is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education
and Care, International Hellenic University, specializing in the Home Learning Environment in
Early Childhood. Before taking on this position (October 2024), she taught a series of
undergraduate courses as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood
Education and Care, International Hellenic University and worked as a preschool teacher in
public and private kindergartens in Greece. She has been actively involved in four European
Erasmus+ KA2 and KA3 research projects as a Researcher, Project Manager &
Implementation Associate, and Technician, and served as an External Evaluator in an
Erasmus+ KA3 project (Support for Policy Reform – Initiatives for Policy Innovation).
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (University of Western
Macedonia), an Master in Education Sciences (specialization in “Pedagogy & New
Technologies”) (University of Western Macedonia), and a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education
(Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Her doctoral dissertation, “Evaluation of the quality of
home learning environment in Greece”, was funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research
and Innovation (HFRI) of General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT).
Katerina’s publications include international, peer-reviewed journal articles, a book, book
chapters in international volumes, conference proceedings, as well as educational and
research material, reports, and briefs. She has presented her research at national and
international conferences and has delivered both face-to-face and online training seminars
for early childhood educators.

Role: External Evaluator
External evaluator in the Erasmus+ KA3 Research Project Support for Policy Reform – Initiatives for Policy Innovation entitled “ProW: Promoting Teachers Well-being through Positive Behavior Support in Early Childhood Education” (Contract No. 626146-EPP-1-2020-2-EL-EPPKA3-PIPOLICY). Responsible for providing external evaluation services, specifically: a) drafting the Interim Evaluation Report (at month 18 of implementation), and b) drafting the Final Evaluation Report upon project completion.
